01 — The obsession

We're two dudes that love music, guitar playing, and guitars themselves. We've got a vision for how a guitar should feel in your hands, and we're fixated on the proto-shredders from the mid-'70s through the mid-'90s: the nascent era of heavy metal, the golden age of Japanese guitar craft, the original copies that the brands they copied are now reissuing themselves.

We call this Refinement.

02 — The method

We're conservators. Guitars come in well loved or in bad shape, either way they get rebuilt properly. We'll upgrade where it makes sense, not just for the sake of it.

We work out of a small studio we call the Hideout. It's where we chase this obsession and actually enjoy doing it.

Most of what comes through the door is already someone's guitar. Every now and then, we find one ourselves and refine it for sale.
